The Queen Mary in Long Beach CA presents the Dark Harbor a scary and frightening Halloween event every weekend in October. This event is being presented for the 17th year.

Guests walk around a foggy area with weird masked creatures following them.  Suddenly the creatures sidle up next to the guests. Startled guests reaction ranges from gasps to screams while the creatures let out maniacal laughs.

Five mazes are part of the occasion. These are “Hellfire,” “Submerged,” “Containment,” “The Cage” and “The Village of the Damned” — as well as several scare zones. The Queen Mary is reputed to be one of the most haunted sites. This adds to the eerie atmosphere and makes it an ideal location for Dark Harbor’s fearsome thrills.  The mazes are pitch black which adds to the eeriness as poeple lose their sense of orientation.

“Submerged” brings attendees by the haunted swimming pool aboard the ship. Victims screaming for help as the ship “sinks,” and a younger scare actor begs guests to help her “find her mommy.” This makes it one of the creepier attractions that are a part of Dark Harbor in Long Beach CA.
